Katie has a wealth of gymnastics experience competing at the club level and both competing and coaching at the high school level. Katie and her family live near Rice Lake - you might get a glimpse of Coach (baby) Hank when Katie is in the gym as well!
Athlete Coaches
At any given time, you will see a variety of athlete coaches working with our younger levels. It is the goal of every gym to have their own atheletes working with the lower level gymnasts because no one knows better what is expected of the athletes by the team coaches, no one is more capable of showing new gymnasts how a skill should look and work and they understand coaching and spotting as well as any veteran coach. Just about every veteran coach in the sport began their coaching career as an athlete coach and we are always excited when our own athletes take on the added role of coach!
